Green Mountain Innovative Technologies, inc., has a simple goal: To provide innovative, functional, and affordable tools and accessories to save time and money in the building trades.

I am Gavin A. Cook, founder of GMIT, inc. I’m an avid outdoorsman, based in Vermont, with over 40 years of experience across all building trades. My expertise is in all phases of residential and light commercial construction and timber-framing. In addition, I’ve worked in the industrial sector on hydro-electric dams providing a specialty abrasive water-jet cutting service in Canada and the United States.

My designs are rooted in years of practical experience combined with a Mechanical Engineering degree from UVM. This gives me a unique approach to problem-solving and designing products to “make the job easier.” I have a unique mind-set of continual improvement for the task at hand.

GMIT, inc. is excited to be launching its first product: the Painter’s Drying Rack Solution (PDRS). It solves the long-standing problem of logistics for drying various painted materials.
